Hotel 81 Orchid Singapore

Small room and tiny bathroom, but it was just fine for my stay. Enjoyed free and stable internet access. No local breakfast but lots of 24h coffee shops in this area. Several Bus stops in a short walking distance.

room: windows can never be opened!!! location: right in the red light district, where the girls line up. Not very pleasant to come back late and alone. Also not very central. service: cleaning was not done every day. staff/ receptionists: some staff was very unprofessionell, unfriendly and moody, unfexible (only following their rules as a hotel chain). If you arrive late and leave late - there is no chance to keep your room for a few more hours and getting a discount. You will have to pay the full night, even if you only extend a few hours. There was some reconstruction work going on from 9am onwards - impossible to rest after a long journey. They offered me to change the room, which meant downgrading for no refound (I had paid for a room with Internet and they offered me a room without Internet for the same price) Resume: there are other hotels in Singapore for a better price, better location and with much more friendly staff.

Ziemlich alter Kasten. Sauberkeit unzureichend, ich fand im Bad Haare. Sonst ok. Kein Kühlschrank aber Fernseher ohne FB. Gutes Bett. Raum ist sehr klein, Bad ist winzig. Ds ganze Hotel ist weit herunter gekühlt, fast zu kalt. Lage in Geylang ist ok. In unmittelbarer Umgebung Restaurants mit sehr günstigen Preisen. Busse in 50 Metern, Hoch/U-Bahn 500 Meter zu Fuß. Fahrt damit vom/zum Flughafen 0,80 Euro! Internet per LAN war ok. Ab morgens um 7:00 Lärm auf dem Flur. Fazit: Für Budget Reisende zumal allein Reisende eine preiswerte Unterkunft in preisgünstiger Umgebung. Zu zweit eng, für Familien ungeeignet.

Absolutes "low-budget" Hotel. Einfachste Zimmer-Ausstattung aber sauber. Zur nächsten MRT-Station 10 Minuten. Sehr preiswerte Restaurants mit gutem Essen in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Allerdings bei Tag und Nacht Unmengen Prostituierter direkt vor der Tür. (Wer`s mag.....) Für den Preis in Singapore ein guter Deal.
