By Car - From M8 and A1 follow signs for city centre and George Street.
By Air - Edinburgh International Airport - Edinburgh International Airport is only seven miles from The George Hotel and approximately 25 minutes by taxi. The fare will cost under £20 but may be higher on public holidays.
There's also a regular bus service, Airport Express X100, for £3.50 single or £6 return. This takes approximately 30 minutes and stops at Waverley Bridge www.flybybus.com.

By Rail - Nearest station: Edinburgh Waverley station - Edinburgh Waverley Station has direct services to London Kings Cross. It is only half a mile or a five minute walk away so please see the map for directions when leaving the station. A taxi from the station takes 5 minutes and costs between £4 and £6. Edinburgh Haymarket Station is approximately 10 minutes from the hotel and would cost £5-£10 by taxi.

It's free to park on George Street between 18.30 and 08:30 every day except Sunday when it is free all day. Outside these hours, there is a maximum parking time of 3 hours at a cost of £1.80 per hour.
Alternatively the hotel can offer a 20% discount when using the NCP at Greenside Place, a short distance away, for approximately £16 for 24 hours. We recommend that you drop your luggage at the hotel first and our concierge will be more than happy to help with simple directions to reach the NCP.
